Breakout was funny today and pretty interesting.  Mrs. Murphy did a good job acting out, doing the bad job interview.  Pretty much everything that she did in the interview was wrong, and she definitely wouldn't have gotten the job.  She wasn't prepared at all and it didn't seem like she wanted the job.

Reflection of Breakout 7/23

Today's breakout session we talked about what you should be talking about when you're at work, what you should be wearing, and basically how you should present yourself. Your image is very important in the workplace. Your boss doesn't  usually know you personally or know how well your job performance actually is, so it is very important that they have a good image of you and that you have a good attitude towards them. Your image is also important for promotions and for a reference.

Reflection of Breakout 7/21

Today I enjoyed the breakout session. It's cool to be able to talk about that stuff with other kids that might have experienced the same kind of thing. I thought it was really interesting to talk about as a group. And also to read and discuss the different scenarios. 

Health Career Exploration

Last rotation I was in health careers.  I learned a lot, although I'm not sure I'd like to pursue a career in this field. We practiced blood pressure and heart rate as well as weighing and measuring someone on a scale. The class was really fun and was a great benefit. I learned a lot about teamwork and how to deal with people in many different situations in the workplace.
